This time at the 18th Children&#8217;s Festival 2016 at Circular Quay near the famous Opera House. Multicultural harmony has shone through for many Sydneysiders, tourists and thousands of intrigued onlookers from the international cruise ship docked nearby.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/y-0HFtiIMa8?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>More than 30 ensembles, children dressed in their ethnic costumes have danced and sang traditional numbers from their respective homelands. Some of the children wouldn\u2019t even be 5 years old, but they have held their rhythm and enchanted spectators with their cute charm and talent. Not even afternoon showers could spoil the spectacle and the show kept on entertaining spectators hidden under their umbrellas and makeshift blankets.<\/p>\n<p>Organisers have been full of praise for the performing children, appreciating their commitment, passion and discipline. Naturally, the Royal Easter Show is the perfect place to enjoy unforgettable family moments. For the second time Stono\u017eka has taken active part in this great event. Among a high number of popular dance groups from all parts of Sydney, Stono\u017eka had the honour to exhibit their unique skills in folk dance. Showing off the beautiful traditional dancing styles of Slovakia.<\/p>\n<p>Children of the Sydney Slovak Community in two age groups performed particular dances in beautiful traditional Slovak costumes or \u2018kroj\u2019. The older children&#8217;s group danced with great enthusiasm, passion and presented a unique cultural experience for their audience. Also the little ones could not have been better. Altogether they represented a children\u2019s group that really enjoys traditional music and dance. The audience was thrilled to experience a traditional Slovak song sang by very talented young Claudia Holy from the older group. What a pleasure to see these two Slovak groups growing in Australia with their willingness to sustain their cultural traditions and values, not only due to their parents wishes, but from the children&#8217;s love of being Slovak.<\/p>\n<p>The Slovak community in Sydney is proud that our Slovak traditions and values live on in these young generations through dance, music and friendships. Great deal of gratitude goes to our children&#8217;s trainer Ivana Pa\u0161ovi\u010dov\u00e1, who truly inspires our children and community. Tohtoro\u010dn\u00e9 Ve\u013ekono\u010dn\u00e9 sviatky mali svoju osobitn\u00fa atmosf\u00e9ru, ke\u010f sme Sv\u00e4t\u00fd t\u00fd\u017ede\u0148 spolo\u010dne sl\u00e1vili om\u0161ami v na\u0161om kostole a zakon\u010dili ho po\u017eehnan\u00fdm zm\u0155tvychvstan\u00edm n\u00e1\u0161ho P\u00e1na a oslavnou Ve\u013ekono\u010dnou nede\u013enou om\u0161ou.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e1\u0161 kostol Sv Cyrila a Metoda bol op\u00e4\u0165 raz pln\u00fd do posledn\u00e9ho mo\u017en\u00e9ho mieste\u010dka a spolu sme pre\u017eili nezabudnute\u013en\u00fd z\u00e1\u017eitok veden\u00fd na\u0161\u00edm obetav\u00fdm kapl\u00e1nom Henrym Adlerom, SVD. P\u00e1tos tejto v\u00fdznamnej sv\u00e4tej om\u0161e e\u0161te zn\u00e1sobili Krst, Prv\u00e9 sv\u00e4t\u00e9 prij\u00edmanie a Birmovka nov\u00fdch \u010dlenov na\u0161ej Komunity. Ozdobou om\u0161e bol k slz\u00e1m doj\u00edmaj\u00faci spev Ivanky Pa\u0161ovi\u010dovej, kedy pri slov\u00e1ch piesne &#8220;Hallelujah&#8221; nebolo sn\u00e1\u010f po\u010du\u0165 ani \u013eud\u00ed d\u00fdcha\u0165. Rovnako intenz\u00edvna a doj\u00edmav\u00e1 bola aj hra na harfe v podan\u00ed mladu\u010dkej Ninky Fowler, ktor\u00e1, ako pripomenul Otec Henry Adler, znela aj v \u010dasoch Kr\u00e1\u013ea D\u00e1vida, ktor\u00e9 biblia \u010dasto spom\u00edna.<\/p>\n<p>Po om\u0161i sme v komunitnej hale pokra\u010dovali vo ve\u013ekono\u010dn\u00fdch oslav\u00e1ch najprv skvostn\u00fdm obedom a potom pln\u00fa s\u00e1lu roztlieskala Stono\u017eka svojimi radostn\u00fdmi tancami a spevom. Dev\u00e4\u0165 p\u00f3di\u00ed, st\u00e1nky jed\u00e1l z r\u00f4znych k\u00fatov sveta, n\u00e1rodn\u00e9 s\u00fabory v r\u00f4znofarebn\u00fdch krojoch, atmosf\u00e9ra pln\u00e1 hudby, spevu, smiechu, potlesku a tanca a tak ako po minul\u00e9 roky aj tento rok program tohoto festivalu obohatilo aj vyst\u00fapenie DFS Stono\u017eka. Vyst\u00fapenie v Canberre bolo tento rok v\u00fdnimo\u010dnej\u0161ie aj v\u010faka \u00fa\u010dasti malej Stono\u017eky, ktor\u00e1 prv\u00fdkr\u00e1t podst\u00fapila celodenn\u00e9 vyst\u00fapenie
