Eight edition of our traditional Maypole erection celebration has attracted another strong crowd across all generations, although the young folk dominated the numbers of our entertainment seekers.

After one unbelievable dinner consisting of plethora of delicacies, such as the homemade ‘treska’, schnitzels with potato salad, fat sausages, goulash, steamed dumplings or heavenly cakes washed down by fiery spirits or soothing beer, we have warmed up with traditional folk dances before erecting the Maypole in the driveway accompanied by enthusiastically singing folks.

Afterwards our DJ Maťo kicked into gear and got the dance floor pumping. Now that’s what we call entertainment.

The highlight of the evening has been the raffle. 25 lucky winners have collected their valuable prizes, which have been donated by various generous parties, such as modern wood oven by TFM Fireplaces, followed by pricey coupons from Baja Cantina, Bavarian Café Bondi a Blue Danube as well as beautiful jewellery and delicious meat platters.

Maypole 2018 turned out to be such a wonderful event thanks to our many committed volunteers and generous sponsors. We owe you a great deal of gratitude for your support.

Having said that, our fun seeking guests have made this evening a dynamic spectacle by creating such an electric atmosphere and making it this heart-warming occasion.
