Our beloved father Viktor Števko has passed away later this afternoon after a long struggle with an uncompromising illness. Father Viktor, who has been selflessly caring for our Slovak Catholic Community in Lidcombe for many years is now on his way  to Lord. May God rest his soul.

Father has left us behind with many wonderful memories of his beautiful spirit. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

1927 – 2014

The last farewell with our beloved father Viktor comprises of two parts.

On Tuesday (9/9) at 7 pm a Vigil Mass will be held at Lidcombe,
where a coffin with the father’s remains will be displayed. Afterwards we will be praying the Sorrowful Mysteries Rosary.

On Wednesday (10/9) at 10:30 am a Funeral Mass will be held at the SVD Chapel at Marsfield, where our Slovak Catholic Community will be praying the Sorrowful Mysteries Rosary in Slovak from 10 am.

Following the Mass we’ll proceed to the Macquarie Park Cemetery where a funeral will be held. Afterwards we’ll return back to SVD at around 1 pm for a wake in father’s honour.
